Early June Update

We know, we know. We're later than late on our Aidan updates. But, because so much has happened in the past month, we are going to need to break this into several blog posts.

We spent early June reintegrating as a family (Everyone is trying to snuggle in with Dad!)

Kate had her promotion ceremony at work (we are now CPTs Murphy - effective 16 May!)

Aidan took a venture in his new Tummy Tub - Yes, Kate saw it on the Today Show while on maternity leave and got suckered :)

We are so excited to be able to post that Brian is HOME!!!! We are so glad to have him home safe and sound! He arrived early in the morning on June 1st. We are all doing well and adjusting to life as a family. Brian will write his own message later, but we wanted to share some photos of the homecoming ceremony with you all. Enjoy!

Redeployment!

Greetings everyone!
Things here in Texas are as busy as ever with work and taking care of Aidan and the girls. We are anxiously awaiting Brian's return - which looks as if it will be in just a few short days!! Brian is scheduled to arrive on Long Knife Main Body Flight 11, which is tenatively scheduled to arrive here at Ft. Hood at noon on June 2nd. You can watch the redeployment ceremony live via the link below!!

In other news, we recently had a great visit with Babci Kasarjian. I had several days off from work due to the Memorial day holiday, so we were able to spend some time together, do some shopping, and start getting the house ready for Brian's return. Babci also was a great support to me, keeping Aidan at home several mornings instead of going to daycare as he was not feeling so well. He endured his two month shots last week, and is still battling a cold - which eventually prompted his first ear infection :( He is on the mend though, despite passing his cold/cough along to my mom. I have included a few newer pictures of him below, and I am going to try to post a video so that you can see the changes I get to experience every day. Aidan has passed his colicky phase and is really starting to explore the world around him and is smiling, cooing, and beginning to giggle. I can't wait to share all of this with Brian. I'll post pictures of the Homecoming Ceremony mid-week!!

Aidan is two months old!

Things here in Texas are trucking along. Aidan and I are getting used to our new routine of work and daycare. It's been three weeks, and I think we are finally getting the hang of it. We can't wait until Daddy comes home - less than a month now! It's been so exciting to watch Aidan grow and I can't wait to share every moment with Brian. He has recently been smiling and cooing and is finally outgrowing colic. I think he is starting to recognize me as well, but I'm not too sure. When he's awake he's much more alert- curious at whats going on around him.

In other news, we have booked our trip up north! We hope that you all will enjoy meeting Aidan! We will be flying into NY on June 24th to visit the Murphy's and will remain there through the 28th, when we will celebrate Aidan's Christening at Immaculate Heart Of Mary. After this we will travel to Massachusetts to see the Kasarjian side before enjoying a few days to ourselves for our first family vacation!

I've attached some newer pictures of Aidan below, enjoy!

Easter & Uncle Brian's Visit

Happy Belated Easter! Aidan and I were lucky enough to spend the day with several good friends here at Ft. Hood. We stopped over to Jenny and Justin Twombly's house for brunch and met their new puppy, Drake. He is a cutie! In the afternoon we had dinner at the Wiley's house and Aidan had his first playdate! It was a nice opportunity to introduce Aidan to other kids prior to starting daycare.

Aidan posing with the Easter Bunny Grandma Murphy got for him!

Swinging in his new Easter Swing

Hanging out with his new friend Alexa!

Being checked out by Drake!

This past week we were visited by Uncle Brian, who brought with him gifts of red sox and patriots outfits! He had heard that Uncle Liam was attempting to sway Aidan with some cool Yankees duds and wanted to even the playing field. You'll find a few photos of Uncle Brian holding Aidan below.

Check out my new swing!

The Easter Bunny brought me an early Easter present; a swing! I'm not so sure about it yet, but my mom snapped a few photos of me testing it out while I'm asleep. I bet I'll like it better once she puts some batteries in it so it actually swings!

Happy 1 month!

It's hard to believe that it's already been a month since we welcomed Aidan into the world! He amazes us each and every day and its incredible to watch him as he becomes more aware of the world around him :) Here are a few shots of the little man, enjoy!
